Zapier integration

Zapier URL shortener: create and track links from any Zap.

Connect LinkTwin to the apps you already use. A Zap sends each new URL to LinkTwin and gets back a short link that opens in the right app, and LinkTwin can tell Zapier each time you create a link or someone clicks one.

Works both ways

Send URLs to LinkTwin, and let LinkTwin call Zapier back.

Zapier can create links through the LinkTwin API, and LinkTwin can send Zapier a JSON event when something happens in your account.

Create links from a Zap

Add a Webhooks by Zapier action that sends a POST request to the LinkTwin API. The next step can use the short link it returns.

200Response
{
  "error": 0,
  "id": "1221",
  "shorturl": "https://linktw.in/desk-tour",
  "title": "My $200 desk setup (full tour)",
  "description": "A full tour of my $200 desk setup."
}
  • Check the error field in the response: 0 means the link was created.
  • Paste a YouTube, Amazon or Spotify URL and the short link opens that app on a phone.

Get a webhook for every new link and click

Start a Zap with the Catch Hook trigger of Webhooks by Zapier and paste its URL on the Zapier integration page in your dashboard. LinkTwin posts a JSON event each time you create a short link and each time someone clicks one.

Setup

Create your first short link from a Zap

One request to the LinkTwin API, with your API key in the Authorization header and the URL in the body.

  1. Get your API key

    Copy your API key from Settings in your LinkTwin dashboard. API access comes on every plan.

  2. Add a Webhooks by Zapier POST step

    After your trigger, such as a new row in Google Sheets, send the URL to the LinkTwin API with the fields below. Then test the step.

  3. Use the short link

    The next step gets shorturl from the response. Write it back to the row, post it or send it on.

The Webhooks by Zapier step

Fill in these fields. Map the column that holds your URL to url.

FieldValue
ActionWebhooks by Zapier: POST
URLhttps://linktw.in/api/url/add
Payload typejson
Dataurl = {{Product URL}}
HeadersAuthorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

Check your Zapier plan first: as of October 2026, Zapier lists Webhooks by Zapier on its Professional, Team and Enterprise plans, and not on Free.

Other API options are keys you can add under Data too.

expiryThe date the link stops working, such as 2026-12-31 23:59:59.

Zapier integration questions

Still have questions? Contact us.

Is there a Zapier integration?

Yes, in both directions. A Zap can create links by calling the API with Webhooks by Zapier, and LinkTwin can send a Zapier webhook each time you create a link or someone clicks one. Paste your webhook URLs on the Zapier integration page in your dashboard.

Which Zapier plan do I need?

Both directions use Webhooks by Zapier. As of October 2026, Zapier lists Webhooks by Zapier on its Professional, Team and Enterprise plans and not on Free. Check your Zapier plan before you build the Zap.

Do I need a paid LinkTwin plan?

Creating links from a Zap uses the LinkTwin API, and API access comes on every plan. You can create a free account first and upgrade when you are ready to connect Zapier.

Do links created by Zapier open in apps?

Yes. A link made from a Zap is the same as one made in the dashboard: YouTube, Amazon, Spotify and other supported links open in the app on a phone, and fall back to the web page when the app is not installed.

Can I set an alias or a branded domain from Zapier?

Yes. Add more keys under Data, such as custom for the alias, domain for a branded domain or expiry for an end date. The API documentation lists every field.

One API key, three ways to build

The REST API, the MCP server and the CLI all use the same API key and manage the same links.
