YouTube Bulk Editor

Bulk edit YouTube descriptions: links and text in every video

Change an affiliate link, a discount code or a sponsor line in every video at once, and find the links that no longer work. Swap Geniuslink, URLgenius and plain links for LinkTwin links that open the Amazon, Spotify or Instagram app. You see every change before it is saved, and you can undo it.

Reads your latest public video descriptions, no sign-in. Uses YouTube API Services: YouTube Terms of Service, Google Privacy Policy, our privacy policy.

Broken links

Find broken links in your YouTube descriptions

Old descriptions collect dead links: videos you deleted, short links that expired, shops that closed. The editor checks every link and flags the ones that lead nowhere, so you can give each one a new link in every video at once.

  • Deleted and private videos, checked with YouTube
  • Short links and pages that answer Page not found
  • Websites that no longer exist
  • No guesses: a page that blocks automatic visits is never called broken

Find and replace

Find and replace text in all your descriptions

Write a rule, like an old discount code and the new one, and see every match in every description before anything changes. Rules can match case and whole words only, and they never touch links.

  • Up to four rules at once
  • Match case and whole words
  • Every match shown in its video
  • Delete whole lines, like an old sponsor
  • Add the same text at the top or bottom of every description

Check before you save

Read the exact new text before you save

The review shows each video that will change, with every swap and edit marked in its description. What you read is exactly what YouTube gets.

  • Changed lines with their context
  • Videos that would go over YouTube's limit are skipped and marked
  • Pick which LinkTwin domain the new links use
  • Untick any video to leave it out
  • One link per video, to see which video brings the clicks

Save and undo

Save it all in one go, and undo any save for 30 days

Press Save and the descriptions update on YouTube in the background, even when you close the page. Every save stays in your history, and one click puts the old text back.

  • Progress you can follow, video by video
  • Your own edits on YouTube are never overwritten
  • Undo for 30 days

Switching tools

Moving off Geniuslink or URLgenius without editing 300 videos by hand

Old links stay in old descriptions, and every one of them still sends your viewers through another service. The editor finds them all, follows each one to where it really goes, and swaps it for a LinkTwin link to the same place.

  • Your affiliate tag stays in the link
  • The Amazon, Spotify or Instagram app opens on phones
  • One LinkTwin link per destination, with its clicks counted
  • Turn on Amazon localization to send each viewer to their own country's store

Built to be careful

Your channel stays yours

A tool that edits hundreds of videos has to be careful. These are the rules it follows.

  • Read-only until you save

Scanning needs read-only access. Edit access is asked only when you press Save.

  • Only the description changes

Titles, tags, thumbnails and privacy settings are never touched.

  • You see the exact text

Every video shows its changed lines before you save. Nothing is written without your OK.

  • Undo for 30 days

Any save can be taken back. Videos you edited on YouTube since are left alone.

  • Your newest edits win

Each video is read again just before it is saved, so a change you made on YouTube meanwhile is kept.

  • Disconnect any time

Disconnecting takes our access back and deletes your channel's data from LinkTwin.

How it works

Bulk edit your descriptions in four steps

  1. Connect your channel

Sign in with Google and allow read-only access. We read your video descriptions and find every link in them.

  2. Pick links and write rules

Tick the links to swap, give broken ones a new link and add text rules. Each link shows where it lands, which app it opens and whether it still works.

  3. Review every change

See the exact new text of every video before anything is saved, with each change marked.

  4. Save, and undo if you need to

Press Save and the descriptions update on YouTube. Any save can be undone for 30 days.

Questions about bulk editing descriptions

Still wondering about something? Ask us directly.

How do I change a link in all my YouTube descriptions at once?

Connect your channel, pick the link in the list of every link we found, and choose what it becomes. The review shows the exact new text of every video it is in. Press Save and each description is updated on YouTube, a batch at a time.

How do I update an affiliate link in all my YouTube descriptions?

Find the old link in the list of every link on your channel and type the new address, and it changes in every video it is in. Or swap it for a LinkTwin link: your affiliate tag stays in the link, and the store's app opens on phones. You see each change before anything is saved.

Does it find broken links?

Yes. Every link is followed to where it really lands. Links to deleted or private videos, short links that expired, pages that answer Page not found and websites that no longer exist are marked as broken, and you can give each one a new link in every video at once. Pages that block automatic visits, like Amazon product pages, are never marked broken on a guess.

Can I change a link to a different one?

Yes. Pick any link in the list and type the new address. It changes in every video the old one is in, and the review shows each change before anything is saved.

Can I find and replace text, not just links?

Yes. Add a text rule, for example an old discount code and the new one, or last year's sponsor line and this year's. Rules can match case and whole words only, and they never touch links, so a word inside a URL stays as it is.

Can I add or remove a line in every description?

Yes. Write the text once and choose the top or the bottom: a blank line separates it from the description, and a video that already has it is skipped, so saving twice never adds it twice. To remove a line, like an old sponsor, add a text rule and choose to delete the whole line.

Can I change only some of my videos?

Yes. Pick them on the Videos tab by title, date or visibility, or untick any video in the review. Every change in a save applies to the videos you picked only.

Can I see which video brings the clicks?

Yes. Turn on one link per video and every video gets its own LinkTwin link, so your stats show the clicks of each video. It uses more of the links in your plan.

Is it free?

Checking your channel and reviewing every change are free. Saving the new descriptions to YouTube is included from the Small plan. See pricing.

What access to my channel does it need?

Read-only access at first, to read your video descriptions. Edit access is asked only when you press Save, and it is used only to update the descriptions you chose. You can disconnect at any time, which takes our access back and deletes your channel's data from LinkTwin.

Will it change my titles, tags or privacy settings?

No. Only the description changes. Everything else about the video stays exactly as it was, and nothing is saved until you press Save.

Can I undo a change?

Yes, for 30 days. Undo puts back the text each video had before the save. If you edited a video on YouTube since, that video is left alone so your edit is not lost.

I use Geniuslink or URLgenius. What happens to those links?

They become LinkTwin links that go straight to the store or app, with your affiliate tag kept, so viewers skip the extra redirect and the app opens. A Geniuslink page that lets viewers pick between several stores has no single destination, so it is left as it is. See how we compare with Geniuslink and URLgenius.

How many videos can it change?

All of them, including Shorts and unlisted videos. YouTube limits how many edits an app can make each day, so a large channel is saved in batches; the progress is shown and the rest continues by itself.

Can YouTube Studio bulk edit descriptions?

YouTube Studio can change the description of several videos at once. It does not list the links in your descriptions, check which ones are broken or turn them into links that open the app. The YouTube Bulk Editor does all three, shows the exact new text of every video before saving, and can undo a save for 30 days.

Is this a YouTube product?

No. The YouTube Bulk Editor is made by LinkTwin and works with YouTube through YouTube API Services. LinkTwin is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube.
