The Hidden Revenue Leak

You're losing commissions on international visitors.

When international visitors click your Amazon.com link, they see US prices in USD, face international shipping costs, and your affiliate cookie gets lost when they switch to their local store.

Your tag only earns in the store that issued it. A UK shopper who buys on amazon.co.uk after tapping your amazon.com link buys without your tag.

What the shopper gets Without Geolocation With LinkTwin Geolocation

Your tag Your affiliate tag gets dropped Your regional affiliate tag attached
Commission Zero commission on international sales A commission from each store you joined

A fallback only happens when you saved a tag for that store and its Auto-Geolocation switch is on. Countries that have their own store always get it.

Amazon Geolocation Questions

Everything you need to know about automatic localization for Amazon affiliate links. Still have questions? Contact us

Do I need to join Amazon Associates in every country?

You only earn commissions in countries where you've joined the Amazon Associates program. Each country's program is separate and free to join. We recommend starting with your home country plus UK and Germany for the best coverage. You can add more regions anytime.

What happens if I don't have a tag for a visitor's country?

LinkTwin only moves a shopper to another Amazon store when you have saved a tag for that store and its Auto-Geolocation switch is on, so nobody is sent to a store where you can't earn. Without one, the shopper opens the store in your original link, with your tag for that store if you saved it.

What if a product isn't available in the visitor's local store?

Auto-geolocation swaps the store, it does not check whether the product is sold there. If you know a product is not listed in a country, add a Location Targeting rule on that link for the country pointing at the original store URL. Rules win over auto-geolocation, and your affiliate tag for that store is applied automatically.

How do smart fallbacks work for countries without Amazon?

Visitors from countries without their own Amazon store are automatically redirected to the nearest regional store. For example: Portugal goes to amazon.es, Austria to amazon.de, New Zealand to amazon.com.au. Your affiliate tag for that region is applied automatically.

Can I use geolocation with app deep linking?

Yes! Geolocation and app deep linking work together. Visitors are first routed to their local Amazon store, then the link opens directly in their Amazon app if it is installed. Learn more about Amazon app deep linking.

Is this free?

Yes! Auto-geolocation is included free with all LinkTwin accounts, including our free tier. You can set up regional affiliate tags and start earning international commissions at no cost.

What is an Amazon global link?

An Amazon global link is one link that works for shoppers in every country: each tap goes to the shopper's own Amazon store. A LinkTwin link does this for 23 Amazon stores, with your affiliate tag for each one, so you can share a single link everywhere.

How is this different from Amazon OneLink?

Amazon OneLink works through a script on your own website, so it can't localize the links you post on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or in an email. LinkTwin localizes the link itself, so it works wherever you share it, and it opens the Amazon app too.

How does LinkTwin know which country a shopper is in?

From the IP address of the tap, at the moment it happens. Shoppers are not asked for their location and don't have to do anything.

Which Amazon stores are supported?

23 stores: amazon.com, amazon.ca, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.it, amazon.es, amazon.co.jp, amazon.com.au, amazon.in, amazon.com.br, amazon.com.mx, amazon.cn, amazon.nl, amazon.se, amazon.pl, amazon.com.be, amazon.ie, amazon.sg, amazon.ae, amazon.sa, amazon.eg and amazon.com.tr.

Does it change links that already point to the shopper's own store?

No. A shopper in Germany who taps a link to amazon.de stays on amazon.de, with your German tag if you saved one.

Can I turn it off for one store or one link?

Yes. Switch off Auto-Geolocation for a store in your Amazon settings, or add a Location Targeting rule to a single link. Targeting rules always win over auto-geolocation.
